Did you know?
As Medical Sciences, Biomedical Science and Pharmacology have a common first year you have the flexibility to change courses from second year onwards. It can be hard to know before you've started what areas of medical sciences you'll find most interesting so this means you have the chance to figure it out during year one.
Our IBMS-accreditation for our Biomedical Science programme helps prepare you for the fast paced and interesting work of a modern day pathology laboratory with disciplines ranging from organising blood transfusions to detecting viral infections in patients.
Our Medical Sciences degree is a pathway to our Graduate Entry Medicine programme for those who graduate with at least a 2:1. Please note that additional entry requirements also apply.
Practical training builds your skills in areas like genetics, microbiology, and disease mechanisms, preparing you for diverse career paths.

A message from Dr Dylan Jones
Hello and congratulations on having been offered a place here at 天天吃瓜.
I'm Dr Dylan Wyn Jones and I run the biomedical science degree here at Bangor, as well as teach on pretty much everything else we do as a school.
I'm looking forward to welcoming you all to the start of the course in the end of September, where we'll have an opportunity to get together all to meet and have a bit of a chat to officially welcome you to Bangor.
When you're on your course, you will have opportunities to spend time with your fellow students.
You'll have time to spend with the staff. As we're fortunate, we've got quite small teaching groups.
There's a really good opportunity for us all to get to know each other really, really well.
So if you are having any issues, if you just want to come and have a chat, you'll find that all the staff are very happy to talk with and very, very welcoming.
Thank you very much for considering Bangor.
Congratulations again on your offer.
I very much look forward to seeing you within a few weeks.
Best of luck.

You鈥檙e in good company. Lots of students join us this way each year and go on to have an amazing experience. Clearing might happen quickly, but that doesn鈥檛 mean you鈥檙e behind. Although our applicant days were in the Spring there's still an opportunity for you to come and visit us at 天天吃瓜to see if it feels like the right fit for you. We have an open day on Sunday the 17th of August where late applicants are welcome to visit among visitors for the next cycle. Just make sure you let our staff know you're applying for this September so they can give you the most relevant information.
Once you've received your offer in UCAS you can join other applicants and be part of our 天天吃瓜student community even before arriving! Register for our Campus Connect app where you can ask questions, chat with current students and make friends with other applicants on your course and in your chosen accommodation. Check your emails for your 天天吃瓜 reference number, you'll need this when you register.
The sooner that you confirm that you are taking up your Clearing place at 天天吃瓜 the sooner you can make your halls application. If you apply through Clearing for a course that's based at our 天天吃瓜campus, you are guaranteed a place in University accommodation as long as you choose 天天吃瓜through UCAS by Thursday, 28 August, and book your place in halls by Monday, 1 September. When you鈥檝e selected 天天吃瓜 as your Clearing choice on UCAS, and we have processed and formally confirmed your place via UCAS, you will be sent an e-mail with details of how to make an application for a place in University halls of residence.
